CAA is currently interviewing for a full-time NON STRUCTURAL PLAN CHECKER to work for one of our clients in CO (Denver Metro Area).

​

The respective candidate will be responsible for examining simple to complex Architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plans to ensure compliance with appropriate State and local codes for single and multi-story residential, tenant improvements, and new large construction projects, which may include schools, hospitals, and high-rises, for compliance with adopted codes and amendments.  Work is performed under the general direction of our Senior Engineer Plans Examiner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and examine complex architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plans and specifications for compliance with the appropriate City codes;

  • Identifies inadequacies found in life safety, electrical, plumbing and mechanical construction documents and specifications.

  • Responds to inquiries from plan reviewers, inspectors, architects, engineers and others regarding life safety, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing concerns;

  • Visits construction sites at the request of inspectors to assist in interpreting applicable City codes relating to a field condition;

  • Attends seminars and classes to keep current on code and ordinance changes and to provide training for department staff;

  • Provide quality seamless customer service.

  • Reviews alternate methods or materials for code compliance within the scope of authority
